#AllOnBoard Press Conference

Media Advisory: Former youth-in-care share impact of “transit debt” with TransLink board to support #AllOnBoard campaign

(Vancouver) At the end of ‘I Love Transit Week,’ where TransLink provides free bus travel for all Kindergarten to Grade 12 students, former youth-in-care will present to the TransLink board and hold a press conference about the impact of lack of affordable transit on their lives as low income youth. The youth are members of the #AllOnBoard campaign calling for free transit all year round for children and youth 0-18 and a sliding scale pass for adults. Members of the public, organizational supporters and mayoral and city council candidates who have endorsed the campaign will attend to support the youth and to show the groundswell of support behind this campaign.
